Dear Families,
I can't believe that our kindergarten year together is coming to an end in five days. I am truly so proud of the hard work and practice time that this group of children has put in this year. They have grown as people and as learners. They are beaming with pride over the reading, writing, and math skills they have gained this school year. They have grown by leaps and bounds. I'm most impressed by their teamwork, kindness, and enthusiasm for learning. They will surely be missed. They already saw me shed a few tears while reading the book, The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be by Joanna Gaines to them this morning.
Here are a few learning ideas to stay engaged and curious during the summer...
*Have your child practice reading these Flyleaf decodable readers ttps:// portal.flyleafpublishing.com/ learners-resources/. Scroll down and you should see the book titles.
*Read to your children and discuss books together.
*Practice the sight words students need to know in a flash. (A list of words will be sent home.)
*Work on the cool tasks found in the My Summer of Fun packet that will be sent home.
*Play the 28-30 math mat games that we learned this year.(Math mats and the materials needed to play them will be sent home.) You will need to provide dominoes.
*The students can write me a letter to update me on their summer adventures!
I thank you all for sharing your amazing children with me this year. My best wishes for a fun, yet restful summer with family and friends.
Love,
Mrs. Dupuis
